Gerardo “Marimanke” Arrieta

Gerardo Arrieta is a Chilean practitioner of traditional and integrative healing, with over three decades of experience in ceremonial, therapeutic, and spiritual disciplines across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Of Diaguita ancestry, he shares retreats of Indigenous healing traditions of North and South América, workshops and studies to preserve the cultural heritage and legacy. He is also trained as a popular music composer and has worked extensively in Indigenous gatherings, documentaries and film production.

Gerardo’s path in traditional medicine began in 1991 with the Wachuma tradition and continued under the mentorship of respected teachers from Mapuche, Amazonian, Andean, and North American lineages.

He deepened his studies in India, where he was adopted by his Guru, Shri Mahant Krishna Giri Maharaj, and initiated as a disciple at the 1998 Kumbh Mela. He later became a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor and developed Cellular Memory Release Therapy, a holistic approach integrating somatic, energetic, and ancestral healing principles.

 

Over the years, Gerardo has learned with elders from Shipibo, Quechua, Shuar, Chachi, Cofán, Huni Kuin, Guarani, Tolteca, Wixarika, Lakota, Navajo, and other nations. He is a Traditional Healer from South America jungle healing ceremonies and a Medicine Man/Road Man of the Native American Church (NAC) of Quetzalcoatl, a custodian of Chanupa, Inipi Lakota, and Temazcal Mexica altars, a 13-year Sundancer, Olowampi singer, and Vision Quest holder.

 

Since 2016, he has collaborated closely with Wixarika Marakame Eugenio López Carrillo in the Wirikuta desert and other sacred sites.

Gerardo has been recognized with a doctorate in traditional medicines and serves as a spiritual leader and international minister of the Church of Mother Earth, the Native American Church of Quetzalcoatl and the Native American Church of Turtle Island (NACTI).

 

He is the Founder of the Amerrikua Institute, The Amerrikua Institute of Traditional Wisdoms, Healings and Practices (A Global Initiative for Cultural Preservation and Traditional Education) and he is the Director of Operations and Production of the EAGLE, QUETZAL & CONDOR UNITE GATHERING, April 10th to 19th 2026, Sedona Arizona.

 

His work includes ceremonies, retreats, therapeutic processes, trainings, and cross-cultural educational programs offered throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa
